Flashing lights, loud music, and fun are a few things that characterise the nightlife. People show up dressed to party, have fun, and unwind.

The weather is going crazy with rains experienced mostly after the afternoon and at night, but the nightlife subscribers are not having any of that.

The best advice people can get during this period is to stay indoors but this lot will barely adhere to it. It is therefore important to be careful when going out at night.

Many say that drip is constant and forever. During this period, choosing a drip that will help you go through the night storms is important.

Starting from the shoes, pick a pair that one is comfortable in. As much as ladies say they are comfortable in heels, those laced open heels will leave you suffering from a closet crisis at 3 am. To the gents, if the sneakers are not waterproof, leave them at home for a sunny day.

Boots, and especially leather ones, will do you a solid during this period. The leather boots will act as gumboots, meaning they will allow you to walk in the rain and not get your feet wet.

When it comes to bottoms, get heavy and warm pants or skirts. For the gents, sweatpants or a pair of jeans would do. With a proper design, cargo pants can give a nice chic and gent ensemble for clubbing.

Most clubbing outfits for ladies are made up of tiny tops, be it crop tops, bralettes, tube tops, or backless. If this is what you choose to wear, make sure you put on a heavy cover. This could be a peacoat, fur, or leather coat. The other option is to have a heavy top underneath a meaningful jacket.

The gents will have it easy when it comes to bodice and covers. It is however advisable to stay away from vests and any other light bodice. Other than the leather, fur, and peacoats, a good stylist has the option of wearing a hoodie.

Ladies rarely leave their houses without a bag. Depending on the outfit, leather or waterproof hobo, half-moon or a belt bag would do. If you get a tiny size that can fit your umbrella, the better.

When looking for where to go, stay away from areas that have been termed red zones by the Meteorological Department. Drink and party responsibly wherever you are.
